Delightful traditional farmhouse recently converted into a high standard luxury holiday home. The house is located in an alley within a residential area on the outskirts of the village of San Lawrenz. San Lawrenz is one of the most picturesque localities in the west of the Island of Gozo. The village is built upon a flat surface surrounded by three hills - Ta' Ghammar, Ghajn Abdul and Ta' Dbiegi. The latter is 195 metres above sea level and boasts the highest point in Gozo. San Lawrenz also has within its territory the beautiful Dwejra Bay which is renowned for its unique ecological aspects, not only recognised by all Gozitans and locals but also internationally. The farmhouse is situated in a quiet open area ideal as a starting point for long country walks or mountain bike rides. Moreover, the accommodation is within walking distance from the village square where one can find grocery shops, restaurants and bars. While this hundred year old farmhouse has been converted to adapt to modern necessities, all care has been taken to conserve the originality of the building. All rooms have stone slab ceilings and wooden beams. One of the bedrooms floor is covered with traditional limestone slabs while the floors in most of the other rooms are covered with original (older than 200 years old) floral tiles. The thick stonewalls keep the house warm in winter and cool in summer. The farmhouse comprises entry through a small alley into a hallway, leading to an open plan kitchen / living / dining looking onto a sunny central courtyard, one double bedroom with ensuite facilities, a spare shower room and a second courtyard next to a wash room on the ground floor.
